Phill - Pill Reminder

Privacy Policy

Effective: May 2026

Overview

MintSoft is an independent software studio based in South Korea dedicated to building simple, focused mobile applications. Phill - Pill Reminder ("Phill," "the App," "we," "our," or "us") is a personal medication management app that helps users track medications, schedules, and intake history. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the information the App collects and how it is used.

Information We Collect

Automatically Collected

  • Device Information — device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and language/locale settings used to provide a consistent experience and diagnose issues.
  • Usage Data — features accessed, screens viewed, session duration, and in-app interactions collected via Firebase Analytics to understand how users engage with the App.
  • Crash Reports — stack traces, device state, and error logs collected via Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix stability issues.
  • Advertising Identifiers — on iOS, the IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) may be collected with your explicit consent via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt to serve relevant ads through Google AdMob. On Android, the advertising ID may be used for the same purpose.
  • Network Status — connectivity type (Wi-Fi or cellular) to optimize App behavior; this is not stored or transmitted.
  • Purchase and Entitlement Data — subscription status, purchase history, and anonymized purchase identifiers processed via RevenueCat to manage premium features.

Voluntarily Provided

  • Medication Data — names, dosages, schedules, frequencies, and notes you enter about your medications. This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
  • Medication Photos — images you capture or select from your photo library to identify medications. These are stored locally on your device only.
  • Calendar Events — if you grant calendar permission, reminder events may be written to your device calendar. We do not read or access any existing calendar data.
  • Support Requests — any name, email address, or information you voluntarily share when contacting us at app@mint-soft.com.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the App's core functionality — using locally stored medication and history data to display your schedule, send reminders, generate monthly adherence reports, and power the home screen widget.
  • To send local notifications — using your medication schedule to deliver timely push reminders for doses and refills directly on your device without involving external servers.
  • To analyze usage patterns — using Firebase Analytics data to understand feature adoption, identify usability issues, and improve the overall user experience.
  • To fix bugs and crashes — using Firebase Crashlytics reports to identify, prioritize, and resolve stability issues promptly.
  • To serve advertisements — using Google AdMob to display ads within the App. If you have not granted ATT consent on iOS, only non-personalized ads are served.
  • To process in-app purchases — using RevenueCat to validate, manage, and restore subscription entitlements and one-time purchases.
  • To respond to support inquiries — using your contact information solely to reply to your requests and resolve issues.

Third-Party Services

The following third-party services may receive data as described in their respective privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

  • Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — collects usage and behavioral analytics data to help us understand app engagement.
  • Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — collects crash diagnostics and error reports to improve App stability.
  • Google AdMob (Google LLC) — serves in-app advertisements and may use device advertising identifiers for ad targeting where consent is granted.
  • RevenueCat, Inc. — processes in-app purchase validation, subscription management, and entitlement tracking.

Each of these providers operates under its own privacy policy and data practices. We encourage you to review their policies for full details.

Data Storage and Security

All medication data, intake history, notification schedules, and photos you enter into Phill are stored locally on your device. We use Hive, a lightweight local NoSQL database, for general app data, and Flutter Secure Storage — backed by the iOS Keychain and Android Keystore — for sensitive information requiring encryption. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly export it, for example as a PDF report. MintSoft does not operate servers that store your personal health information.

We implement industry-standard security practices within the App, including encrypted local storage for sensitive data. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We strongly encourage you to protect your device with a PIN, password, or biometric lock to prevent unauthorized access to the App and the medication information it contains. In the event of a security incident affecting any data we do hold (such as contact details from support emails), we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

Data Retention

Medication records, intake history, photos, and settings are retained on your device for as long as you use the App. You can delete individual medications, history entries, or all App data at any time through the App's settings screen, or by uninstalling the App entirely. Analytics data collected by Firebase is subject to Google's standard retention policies (typically 14 months). Crash report data is retained by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days. RevenueCat retains purchase and subscription records in accordance with its own data retention policy, typically for the duration required by applicable tax and financial regulations. Support emails are retained only as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry.

Children's Privacy

Phill is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App's advertising is configured to exclude child-directed treatment. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at app@mint-soft.com and we will promptly take steps to delete such information. Users between the ages of 13 and 18 should use the App only with the knowledge and involvement of a parent or guardian.

Your Rights

  • Access — You can view all medication and history data you have entered directly within the App at any time through the Medications and History screens.
  • Deletion — You can delete your medication data, history records, and settings at any time through the App's settings or by uninstalling the App. To request deletion of data held by third-party partners on your behalf, contact us at app@mint-soft.com.
  • Opt-out of Analytics — You may limit Firebase Analytics data collection through your device's privacy settings. On iOS, disabling "Share Analytics" in Settings limits this. You may also contact us to request opt-out.
  • Opt-out of Personalized Ads — On iOS, withdraw ATT consent at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, opt out in Google Settings → Ads → Delete advertising ID.
  • Data Portability — You can export your medication history as a PDF report directly from the App's Report screen.
  • Additional Rights — If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, California, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, you may have additional rights including the right to object to processing, restrict processing, or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at app@mint-soft.com to exercise these rights.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our business practices, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App. Your continued use of Phill after the posting of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
