Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using OilToday (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MintSoft ("we," "us," or "our"), a software developer based in South Korea. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time; your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Description of Service

OilToday is a mobile application for Android and iOS that provides:

Real-time domestic fuel price data sourced from the Korea National Oil Corporation (Opinet) public API
Nearby station search using your device's GPS to surface the lowest-priced stations within a chosen radius
Historical price trends displayed as 7-day charts for selected regions and fuel types
Home screen widget that refreshes fuel prices in the background at user-configured intervals
Scheduled local notifications summarizing average, lowest, and highest local fuel prices at a time you choose
Interactive map powered by OpenStreetMap to visualize station locations

The App requires an internet connection to retrieve current fuel price data. Certain features (map display, widget refresh) also require background app activity permissions on your device.

Usage Rules

You agree to use OilToday only for its intended purpose — personal, non-commercial fuel price reference. You must not:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to extract data from the App at scale
Interfere with or disrupt the App's connection to third-party data sources, including the Opinet API
Use the App in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction
Attempt to circumvent any advertising or monetization mechanism within the App
Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App or its data to third parties

Violation of these rules may result in termination of your access to the App.

Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App — including but not limited to its design, source code, graphics, user interface, and branding — are and remain the exclusive property of MintSoft. OilToday is licensed to you on a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable basis solely for your personal use. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership rights in the App.

Fuel price data is sourced from Opinet (Korea National Oil Corporation) and is subject to their data licensing terms. Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License (ODbL). MintSoft makes no claim of ownership over third-party data or tile content.

Purchases and Subscriptions

OilToday is currently available as a free download. The App is supported by in-app banner advertisements served through Google AdMob. We do not currently offer in-app purchases, premium subscriptions, or paid upgrades. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will update these Terms and provide clear disclosure of pricing and billing terms within the App prior to any charge being made.

Disclaimers

OilToday presents fuel price data obtained from the Opinet public API maintained by the Korea National Oil Corporation. We make no warranty, express or implied, that this data is accurate, complete, current, or error-free. Fuel prices displayed in the App may differ from prices posted at physical stations due to API update delays, regional data gaps, or station-reported inaccuracies.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MintSoft disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Location-based features depend on the accuracy of your device's GPS and are provided as a convenience only — always verify prices directly with a station before making a purchase decision.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MintSoft and its officers, employees, agents, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to damages for lost profits, data loss, goodwill, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to MintSoft in the twelve months preceding the claim (or KRW 10,000 if you have made no payments). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

Termination

These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use the App. You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling OilToday from your device. MintSoft reserves the right to suspend or discontinue the App, or your access to it, at any time with or without notice, for any reason including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Sections covering Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law will survive termination.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in South Korea. If you are a consumer located in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws may afford you additional rights that these Terms do not limit.
